Ivanovsky FConvent$

Ivanovsky FConvent$
Name
Ivanovsky FConvent$
Category
Art, Books, Communal spaces and places, Education, Global ideas, Human Rights
Short Business Description
Usually this site is irreligious, however in the heart of Holy Russia next to those who've held power there in Москва - an old convent has transformed itself from a purely Russian-Orthodox innerspace to what you could call a FreeConventionalSpace - some info is provided in English on sites listed below. Most info is obviously available in русский (Ruski), so for those who won't dare to visit, because of their political views and/or publications in the past: use your Translator-machine wisely!

Seems so, this is becoming a lovely republic of icon painters, artists, great abandoned houses, cosy cafes, a lot of mysterious courtyards, uphill streets and ladders, of painters, art dealers, monks and nuns, Central Asian-immigrants, birthplaces of and living places of many known Russian poets, writers, painters, musicians, jokers etc.

It's old and officialy functioning again since 2002, hence: expect something marvellous if you believe, and if you don't believe be amazed by the Power of Transformation and Expansion this epoch's about!

About

We aim to incorporate:

– an ideas exchange – with various forums for discussion and debate
– resources sections with hyperlinks and actual information material. Potentially an online library with links to specific resources and publications, images, videos, and
– a 'web of hubs’ to sites, organisations and individuals around the world.
It’s a bold dream…we hope you and friends will help it grow…
