Our aim is to make it a Web of Hubs for alternative and free cultural spaces and people
The idea is to provide a loose-knit, non-hierarchical, web-based resource network for a wide range of what we are calling ‘Free Cultural Spaces’ (FCS). They wouldn’t necessarily use that term to describe themselves, but we need a simple, non-threatening term!

Description Saskatchewan eco-village in Canada is an eco-village which is growing. Lots of off-grid pioneers. Plenty of examples of innovative building designs and links to photos, info and videos. It even featured on Al Jazeera main news. But we’ve linked to the official Craik site and Green Energy Futures’ video.
Description Alternative media hub. They state that CrowdVoice is “tracking voices of protest” around the globe. Certainly it provides some alternative views on world news and conflicts. lots of different countries and issues covered.
Description Crypto-Zoology: is described, negatively, by Google as a ‘pseudoscience’. ‘The study of hidden animals’. Cryptozoology originates from the works of colleagues, Bernard Heuvelmans, a Belgian-French zoologist, and from Scotland, Ivan T. Sanderson.
It is many things – the search for, and codification of, mythical and extinct beings – humans, animals, birds – just about anything really. So-called monsters such as Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster share the billing with the Minotaur, the Dodo and Robin Hood. Dazed and Confused?

Description Located in Australia’s Queensland this is a 650 acre bushland eco-village. As well as the core group, there are many other ‘members’ of the community around the local area north of the Woodford Festival site.
Description The official site of Damanhur Fedeeration and community. Founded in 1975 by Oberto Airaudi (1950-2013). Located in the north Piedmont area of Italy. Most famous for its underground Temples of Humankind. Unique. Wonderful images of eight halls in the Temple. Not without its ‘dark side’ and controversies.
