All site members, including those with a ‘subscriber’ account (the default when registering as a member) can do facebook-like status updates from the ‘activity’ section on your profile and respond to other users’, send messages etc. These don’t need approval before publishing – and photos, videos, links can also be instantly inserted from this ‘activity’ feature too, to start discussions, share links and suggest listings for the ‘Web of hubs directory’ if you don’t have a ‘contributor’ account.
